about

Bio
Formed in 2009, Primeval Soup started jamming in a squatted garage in Brighton as a 3 piece band. We recorded our debut album 'Let's Start Something' in the summer of 2010 DIY style. We put on a lot of own shows at social centres, pubs and squats and helped re-ignite Brighton Punx Picnic. In July 2013 we recorded 'Free Radicals'. The album continued to revolve around the core mechanics of the band, driven punk-ska with heart-felt and political lyrical content, but is more eclectic and progressive than its predecessor. In the winter of 2014 the band toured the UK and recorded a 7inch single released by RiotSka in the UK and Molaka in Europe.
In the spring of 2015 we underwent a line-up change. This shuffle has continued to add to a more diverse sound and acceptance into the small non-corporate/free festival scene in the UK and regular trips across northern Europe.
‘To The Great Calamity Of The Inhabitants’ was recorded in the Summer of 2016 and consists of 10 tracks of what has been labelled ‘skanarcho prunk’! It was digitally released in October 2016 and is scheduled for vinyl release in March 2017 through RiotSka, Maloka, and Pumpkin Records.

Line-up
Twiggy – Vocals and lyrics
Toby – Guitars and backing vocals
Joel – Bass and vocals
Jim - Drums
