about
Eric Molina is a session tenor saxophonist that began touring in the NW 2014 then more heavily nationally with various ska and reggae bands in 2018. Touring with Skank Bank (Psychedelic Reggae - Berkeley, CA), Collection of Lone Souljahs (Hawaiian Reggae - Vancouver, WA), Los Caipirinhos (Spanish Ska Punk/Reggae - Pasco, WA), Scotch Bonnets (Rocksteady - Baltimore, MD), Naughty Pine (Reggae/Lovers Rock - Richland, WA), and Monkey (Ska Reggae Rocksteady Rockabilly Swing Soul - San Jose, CA). Eric Molina doubles on bassoon, alto sax, clarinet and soprano sax and vocals (lead or harmonies) which has opened chances to performing the 2019 Punk in Drublic festival backing NOFX in the orchestra as ska punk trained bassoonist alongside Bad Religion, Anti-Flag and MXPX. Having a Jazz and Classical background opened up the chance to perform with Out of Control Army (Two Tone - Mexico City) in their big band (25 horns) dubbed the Spooky Ska Orchestra at the international 2019 Non Stop Ska Festival in Mexico City alongside Lollypop Lorry, The Toasters, Mephiskapheles, Inspecter 7, Western Standard Time, Los Skarnales and legendary Nevile Staple himself. Three tours with The Scotch Bonnets has taken him from Victoria, BC to Washington DC and Chicago to Orlando learning from seasoned veterans. Eric Molina will play musicals, DIY shows, tours, and festivals and challenges himself to play whatever is put before him. In Pullman, WA began his band in 2016 and maintained a full tour schedule in the NW cycling 18 different local session musician while he consistently sang lead vocals and played tenor sax. This track represents the contrast of how Eric has been able to grow and leave a tiny town to experience ska adventures with so many amazing fans and musicians including the dancing man who he never met until the seventh show who wore always tan shirt. His name was Lee. Mystery solved.
