Regular Of The Obscene combines elements of Alternative Rock, Reggae, Punk, and Ska to form a hard hitting and high energy rock sound embellished by lush and rounded horns. ROTO formed in the summer of 2015 among Noah Rogers, Sebastian Bell, and Madden Purcell. The group recruited Trent Noyd on bass, Paul Shinar on trumpet, Vernon James on Bari Sax, and Corey Bowen on Tenor Sax. The group has played several well known venues in Nashville such as Rocketown, 12th & Porter, The End, and Tin Roof. In 2017, ROTO entered a free single contest with Slamdance Studios and won with the help of fans and friends. The band used the win to record and release Self-Denial, signalling the change from a heavy ska-punk sound to an energetic lyrical blend of rock, jazz, and ska.
