In Fall 2015, celebrating Chip and Jake's birthdays beneath the cracked driveway in the flooded basement of the Midwest, the group realized they had a full band among them. They began playing together shortly thereafter. After their first few shows the summer of 2016, the fiddle player left to go to D.C. Over the next year, Pineapple Hill reworked some things and began playing shows again. In the summer of 2017, Chip declared they would have an album recorded by the end of summer. On October 13th, the rolling thunder of the roots rock steady storm came crashing down worldwide, and SKAMERICANA! was released. The band is now working with a horn section and hopes to have them on stage very soon!
