about

Nine globally-sourced roqueros and ballerina/os out of shady, sandy Miami, Florida been bringing a big rumba riot punk ska sound since 2009. North & South America, Caribbean, Europe, Africa represent. The ethic: tour consummately & catalyze musical performance, building epic operas, and benefiting all sentient beings.

Their salamander-like ability to switch styles from thrashing euro/skate-punk to folk rumba and reggae ska has put them on stages with muchos otros—Flogging Molly, Inspektah Dek, The Misfits, LTJ, VGS, YM (your mom).

Askultura [ahz-cool-too-ra] are about energia positiva & sending symphonic rumba punk elements to all curves of our galaxy. We bring to the stage what raging protests bring to the streets...brief rebellion leaving a lasting aftertaste for change.

“That is the essence of the entire band; it is a no bullshit, full energy party, where anyone and everyone is welcome.” -Lexy Lyn Senft (Vivalexy), Dying Scene

Askultura’s 2016 album 'The Marinara Mixtapes, Vol. 1’, their 4th release, is a blistering collection of punk, mambo, reggae, and folk sounds. They are playing aboard Flogging Molly’s Salty Dog Cruise in March 2017. The Askultura Vandal Squad (AVS) is a real thing, a stouter version of what other bands call a ‘street team’.
