The Short Necked Giraffes are a high-energy ska-punk band originally from Rancho Cucamonga, CA and now based in Orange County, CA. Known for their fun and entertaining live shows and eclectic members, their original music is catchy and melodic and their lyrics can be fun and satirical but also deep and heartfelt. SNG started as a pop-punk trio in 2005 when the founding members met in high school. Over the years their music shifted to ska-punk, and after a lineup change and addition of a horn section in 2011, the band solidified their style. The band’s latest EP, Almost A Six-Pack embodies the third-wave ska sound everyone remembers from the 90’s but with a modern flavor. The band is currently working on new material and plans to release new recordings in 2019.
