Beng Beng Cocktail started in 2007 from the ashes of the ska/punk band 'Skapsom'. Three friends ; Jon, Skal and Befa wanted to create and innovate a fresh new sound. A sound that would fuse acoustic guitar, crack rock steady and hip hop together beautifully. Their new style was born. Enter the 'Crystalcore' sound.

After 1 Demo in 2007 and 1 EP in 2008 they went on to write/record and release their debut LP 'From The Swallow To The Bottle' which consisted of 22 songs of ska rhythm, hip hop verses and anthemic sing-a-long choruses. The album, although only their first hosted a number of guest spots from some of the finest bands on the underground scene at the time, such as Chet from The Stupid Stupid Henchmen and Skwert from Choking Victim.

With the help of Pumpkin Records (UK), Beer Records (FR) and Riotska Records (UK), Beng Beng Cocktail were able to tour the UK 3 times, clocking up almost 40 shows in the UK creating a solid fanbase and following. They continued to play gigs all over the European mainland, frequenting Germany, Netherlands and of course their home country of France.
Beng Beng went on to release a split EP with Atrocity Solution (US) and My Own Religion (UK) and no sooner than that was released their 2nd full length record 'Choices' was released. However, shortly after the release Jon decided to leave the band and persue a different avenue of music. At this point Beng Beng Cocktail went on hiatus.

With the two remaining members, Befa and Skal, being best friends since 1995, they decided that they couldnt live without their music. So they decided to dust of the guitar and bass and begin work on a new record.

So on the 1st March 2017, their third full length is going to be released. « Like a Brother » is their best album so far. Recorded totally D.I.Y but given the professional treatment during the mix and master sessions , this album sounds fantastic. It truly reflects exactly what beng beng is : beautiful mélodies, big bass lines and choruses that will stay rattle around your mind hour after hour. The lyrics are true and talk about friends, death, alcoholism and other real stories but also denounce ecological problems or religions nonsense.

Right now Skal & Befa are practicing their live set to be ready to play these songs when the album is released ! However with one added surprise, they will be playing alongside a drummer which is going to lift the sound to a higer ground ensuring that you are able to dance non stop throughout their 45 minute set !

Sit tight and buckle up. Beng Beng Cocktail are back.
