The Pandemics, formed in 2010 in New York City, have over the course of hundreds of shows honed their infectious brand of gritty punk infused ska music to a razors edge having toured all over the US with bands like The Skatalites and others, having played hundreds of shows at venues large and small! Rooted in one of the biggest cities in the world, The Pandemics have been in the unique position to act as an unofficial ambassador for NYC, having played with bands from all over the world, such as The Selecter (UK), Dave Wakeling's English Beat (UK), Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra (Japan), Abraskadabra (Brazil), Melbourne Ska Orchestra (Australia), Oreskaband (Japan), The Skatalites (Jamaica/NYC), The Porkers (Australia), as well some of truly special shows with bands like The World / Inferno Friendship Society, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Slackers, Fishbone, Ingrid Michaelson, David Johansen (ex. New York Dolls / AKA Buster Poindexter) and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones just to name a few. Never being content with sitting still, the band has also been fortunate to back a few of their musical heroes, of our heroes like Pete Cooper of The Porkers (Australia) and Roddy Radition & Lynval Golding (of The Specials, see attached video) as well. The Pandemics released their first record, The Patient Zero EP (self released) in 2011 and hasn't stopped producing since! They followed it up with their full length record, Brain on Tap (self released) in 2012 and haven't stopped since! In 2015 they kicked started their own label, Lonely Atom Records with their Hard Headed EP and have subsequently released a split 7" in 2017 with the single Killing Time, while hard at work on their next full length record, which will hopefully be out in mid 2020! p.s.
