Fake News band bio Called “a weirdly intoxicating blend of punk, cumbia, ska, and reggaeton" by the Portland Mercury, Fake News adds a healthy dose of antifascism to their unique musical melange. Formed in Portland, Oregon in the wake of the 2016 election, Fake News have toured all over the West Coast, spreading their message and music to dancing, appreciative audiences. So far, the group has released two EPs and one single, and are in the process of recording their first full-length album. The featured song, “Bad Apples,” was actually written and released a few years ago, but it felt appropriate, after the Protest Summer of 2020, to put it back out there.
