With the release of the Side A EP, Deadwatt brings a new feel to a clashing of genres. Lush with hard hitting guitar sections, an aggressive but melodic vocal scheme, and a ska punk edge, the record boasts the aesthetic of alt core anthems. Although the songs are diverse from one another, there is a glue that holds them all together much like a concept album would. Most importantly, the EP never loses sight of the emotional platform great songs are built from."We're all five different individuals with different styles. We bring all of those styles together and I feel it creates a type of "Raw" clash that appeals to people's ear. Our entire EP follows this concept of gaining understanding about the world around us and trying to figure out how to survive in it. Our album art represents that discontent with the world around us. “says the band of the album and songwriting approach. After leaving a previous band, guitarist Lee Bowen began searching for a band he could connect with. After meeting Jason Dean (drums) and Steve Casto (bass), the three went on playing together consistently. Strangely enough, it was during a hiatus when Lee met Les McDonald (trumpet) and things really started to pick up full swing for the band. After a short time the guys met the final addition to the lineup. Vocalist Dylan Chism seemed to have the ideals and sound the band was looking for. It wasn’t long before they knew they were onto something great. It was then that Deadwatt was born. Side A and Side B EPS are available for streaming and downloads on most major digital outlets
